The plants need water, air, and nutrients, but no soil. Hydroponics is growing plants in expanded clay pebbles – without soil. The substrate, proven by professionals and hobby gardeners for decades, is SC Hydro – a mineral substrate with RAL certification. It is lightweight, yet its granules provide plants with secure support and optimal nutrient supply, allowing roots to spread freely. The loosely layered granules always leave enough space for air, water, and nutrients to reach even the finest root tips. The capillary action of the SC Hydro granules ensures a balanced distribution of liquid within the container.
The 2–5 mm growing medium provides secure support for cuttings and young plants.
The 4–8 mm SC Hydro substrate is suitable for small and medium-sized containers.
The 8–16 mm granule is the lightweight SC Hydro substrate for large containers.
Sustainable through reuse, because SC Hydrosubstrate is a natural product and does not wear out with use.
When repotting or rearranging, it is simply rinsed under clean water and can be reused again and again.
