Organic nitrogen fertilizer (14% N) from animal by-products for continuous long-term supply over about 3 months
SNOEK's horn shavings with a medium-fine grain size of 1–6 mm provide a reserve of organic nitrogen for your garden. As soil-borne microorganisms break down the different particle sizes, the nutrients are released continuously over a period of about 8 to 12 weeks. The high content of organic matter supports humus formation and improves soil structure.
Your benefits at a glance:
- Continuous long-term fertilization: Thanks to the different particle sizes (1–6 mm), soil microorganisms gradually break down the horn shavings. Nutrient release is biologically controlled over about 3 months – perfectly matched to the natural growth of your plants.
- Gentle on roots and pH-neutral effect: With a very low salt index, there’s no osmotic stress in the root zone. The soil-neutral effect helps stabilize the existing pH level in the substrate.
- Activation of soil life and humus formation: Adds valuable organic matter (80–85 %) to the soil, stimulating the soil microbiome, loosening heavy soils, and improving water retention.
- Suitable for organic farming according to Annex II of Implementing Regulation (EU) 2021/1165.
